What can I expect to catch?

1. Here is what you can expect to catch if you are a semi-pro experienced amateur fisherman:30 to 50 fish per day, per person

2. Here is what you can expect to catch if you are an average weekend fisherman: 20 to 30 fish per day, per person

Note:

98% of the fishermen will catch an 8 pound fish.

80% will get a 9 pound fish.

70% will catch a fish that will go 10 pounds.

20% will catch a fish of 11 pounds and 10% will catch a 12 or better.

Some days will be a lot better and some days will not be as good. But over all this is the best lake in the world for lots of fish and for big fish.

Best months for big fish. April, May, June. The new lake record of 18 lbs. 5 oz. was set in June, 2001

Bill Rice, Editor for W.O.N. Bass Magazine, on a recent trip to Lake El Salto caught a 13.3, 13.0 and a 12.6  His wife, Ann, caught a 13.8, 13.2 and 12.9 with many, many fish over 8 pounds.  Sounds like a fish tale but it is fact!  This is a very common story for this lake.

General Information

A deposit equal to 50% of the package cost is required to hold all reservations; this deposit must be received within 15 days of reservation or the space will be given to the next caller.  Deposits are fully refundable upon receipt of written notice of cancellation 60 days before the intended date of travel.  With 60 days, a fee of 20% will be deducted from the refund.  No refund will be issued on a no show.

Balances on trips are due 60 days prior to your date of arrival.  Reservations made within 60 days of intended date of arrival are due and payable in full within 15 days.  Any changes to your reservation may result in additional costs and will be invoiced.
