In the Gulf of Chiriqui and the Hannibal Bank, we
have combined the world's best marlin fishing spots, the best guides,
with the best equipment, tackle, and boats. The fishing grounds lie 35
miles off the western shore of Panama, 200 miles from Panama City and
only a one-hour air flight.
The Coral Star is a 115’ live aboard Mother ship Operation. Be on the
water first thing in the morning and jump onto a 28 foot to 34
foot sport fishing boats. There is a fleet of 7 sport fishing boats, so
get ready to catch some of the biggest fish in the Western Hemisphere
with Penn International 20’s, 30’s, 50’s and 80’s along with
assorted spin and fly fishing tackle. M/V Coral Star has a well equipped
stainless steel gallery which serves delicious entrees. If you
have any special requests, please notify your sales representative and
we will try to accommodate your request. The Coral Star
accommodations consist of individually controlled A/C rooms including
two master staterooms with queen size beds and full bath on the main
deck, and six deluxe cabins on the lower deck with portholes, sink and
vanity, private shower and toilet. She has 2 teak decks, a canopy
covered sun deck with lounge chairs and our "Fantail Bar" which creates
a stable, comfortable and spacious outdoor panoramic view. The Fantail Bar area
is also used for dining and/or relaxation.
Billfish Species: Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin
Tuna to 300 pounds.
Inshore Species: Roosterfish, Wahoo, Cubera “Dogtooth” Snapper,
Amberjack, Grouper, Dorado, Pargo, Jack Trevallies, etc.
The peak season for billfish is December through April, with the prime
months being January, February and March. Our experience has been that
the winter months are better for billfish. It is not unusual for
guests to get tired of fighting big Marlin, Sail and Tuna.
Most charters run Saturday through Thursday. We require you
to fly into Panama City on Friday prior to the charter date and fly home
on Friday after the charter date. Early Saturday morning you will fly from Panama City
to David, Panama where you will board our 115 foot Mother Ship, the M/V
Coral Star. After a safety speech and lunch, jump onto one of our sport
fishing boats and go catch some fish! Late Thursday afternoon you
will board the plane for your flight back to Panama City, where you will
overnight for your trip back home on Friday.

Includes: Three meals a day, snacks, all non alcoholic drinks, all
